Why The DailyXander "Handshakes"?

In 2018, when I was working as a personal trainer on my first cruise ship (Seabourn Quest), I would look for ways to be creative with documenting my travels and with capturing something about the people I met. An idea that occurred to me. Thus the handshake was born. The premise is different every time as I do my best to work with the person to incorporate their personality into a unique choreography. Once we created a handshake, and with limited practice, I would capture it on video. This has led me to experience seeing individuals laugh and smile from a shared interaction as simple as making a handshake “event” together. 

 

Creating a genuine, fun, and passionate moment for life is sparked through the handshake, and the "DailyXander Handshake" looks to inspire and serve as a reminder to not take life too seriously and to be open to meeting others.

If you are looking to go on a cruise on the Seabourn Quest, I highly recommend going up to the piano bar (Observation Bar) and enjoying the live music and beautiful views. I happened to have the pleasure of having the piano bar singer of the Seabourn Quest invite me up to the piano bar to play the piano and, of course, connect with a handshake.

Reykjavik in Iceland is very similar to Anchorage, Alaska, in the summer. An abundance of the sun is always in the sky, and no notion of night exists.
