I finished reading Wherever YOU Go, There You Are by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Grateful to continually be feeding positive messages to my mind
"The Dalai Lama shows no anger toward the Chinese, even though the policy of the Chinese government for years has been to practice genocide toward Tibetans, culturicide toward their institutions, beliefs, and everything they hold dear, and genocide toward the very land they live on. When asked about his apparent lack of anger toward the Chinese by a skeptical reporter at the time he won the Nobel Peace Prize, the Dalai Lama replied something to the effect: "They have taken everything from us; should I let them take my mind as well?" - Wherever you Go, There you are, page 49. Your thoughts that YOU have to lead to what you experience. Value the messages that go into your mind! One of the primary keys to this book is no matter how busy you are or whoever you are in this world, you can always make time to be mindful and reflective and look for the quiet moments in your day. Since I work on a cruise ship and I'm always working seven days a week for nine months straight. I found this book to be a great wake-up call for looking for how I can be reflective in the moments I have to myself, even in a crowded and loud crew mess during my breaks. I would often do this by carrying a book and my journal to take notes from my readings whenever I had little moments throughout the day on the ship, especially hustling to the crew deck to get as much fresh air and sun as possible. The photo was taken on top of the crew deck on the Seabourn Quest, an area of the ship I would often spend during the moments I have to myself while working on the Seabourn Quest.
I'd be happy to discuss your project and how we can work together to create unique, fun and engaging content.
