Little Red Book of Selling by Jeffrey Gitomer has been finished! Thank you for sharing YOUr knowledge, and it will be put to practical use. Thank you, Janet Clemens for your hands, contributions, and art. This book was recommended when I was going thru the Part West training program to work on cruise ships and sell fine artwork. There are many sales books out there, and at the end of the day, you look for a sales book that you can relate to and focus on tactics and discipline to improve yourself in every situation. I am not an expert salesperson, but you will always hear genuine, authentic, and passionate about life. That is me and my sales process from learning from numerous books, work, and life experiences and understanding what works well with my approach.
I've highly appreciated principle #7 in the book: Practice Creativity. I liked the examples of getting creative with your voicemail and how to interrupt your customers, the people you are selling yourself, or a product or service. For instance, Jeffrey Gitomer speaks of using a customer or a family member to talk on your behalf and interject humor and sincerity. I think of evolving this tactic from voicemail to social media intros and other digital platforms where I place my message.
"People always blame their attitude on the day. I'm having a bad day is baloney. What you're really saying is: I've let other people get to my attitude, I've let other circumstances get to my attitude. That's not only unjustifiable, it's a sign of mental weakness. If you tell yourself you're having a bad day, I promise you will have one, and if you tell yourself you're having a great day, I promise you will have one. The day is not bad unless you name it bad." - Jeffrey Gitomer.
I'd be happy to discuss your project and how we can work together to create unique, fun and engaging content.
